Boca Raton, FL, July 7, 2020 – KidsMates announces the publication of “Tips to Support Children When a Parent is in Prison” by healthychildren.org, the official parenting website of the American Academy of Pediatrics. “Having a parent in prison is an adverse childhood experience that can lead to poor health and wellbeing as an adult,” says KidsMates President and article author, Rosemary Martoma, MD, FAAP. “Our C.A.R.E.S. approach is based on the belief that supportive adults can empower children through their parent’s incarceration.”
